Day 4:
It’s the fourth day overall for the team, and our second day at the center. Everyone is doing great and loving on all the kids. We had a new little girl come today, and we ask you to please be in prayer for her. For the first few days she wouldn't stop crying for her mother. However, she, along with so many of the kids, seem to absolutely love Paul and his band. They travel from room to room singing Spanish songs and worshiping God. They always have a captive audience, no matter if they are in tune or even singing the right words!

The kids are learning about some of the miracles that Jesus performed throughout this week. Yesterday they learned about when Jesus walked on water. Today they learned about Jesus healing the blind man. The skits are performed by the kids themselves, and they seem to enjoy acting out the different miracles. The craft team then worked with all the kids as they made eye glasses today. The glasses made for some cute pictures as all the kids became super silly when they wore them.

The recreation team moves from group to group as well and plays hard, trying to help get all the kids energy out. Today they played kickball with the Ducks & Squirrels.

Also, the maintenance crew is hard at work. Several are working on painting the walls yellow and trying to cover up all the crayon marks. Trent even found some help today while pushing the wheel barrel around. Yesterday was exciting because several of the local men working here on the remodel of the Canaries room were able to get the concrete machine up and working and no longer do they have to mix it all by hand.

With so many kiddos here at the center, it requires lots of food to be prepared. So we have a few shifts throughout the day where our ladies can help the kitchen staff prepare and cook the food.

Today we want you to meet two ladies that work here at the center. This first woman works with the Bunnies and has worked at the center for 4 years now. She has 3 children of her own and is a single mom. Her favorite part about working at the center is when the kids eat all their food during a meal; that makes her happy. When asked how we can pray for her, she asked that we pray for strength and good health so that she can continue to support her children as a single mom.

Our next woman has worked at the center for 27 years and she lives with her dad and brother. Her favorite part about the center is cooking. When asked what she likes to cook, she said, everything. She asked that we pray for her dad because he is sick.
