Haiti team...worship and work!

Sundays always begin here with worship at Pastor Edmond's church, where we were treated to songs by both boys and girls groups.

Four of our men gave short messages, including Pastor Rick, first time with a translator!

Then it was off to the site to begin work. We quickly divided up into teams, and one of the main jobs was to re-dig the foundation ditch for the columns in front of the director's house.

God blessed us with an experienced foundation construction expert (did He know what we needed on this trip?), and Chad had it measured out, dug and poured in only half a day!

He had a lot of help from almost the whole team, mixing concrete on the ground, Haitian style. Man can those ladies work!

Some of the guys started cutting, drilling and installing the 2x8s around the interior walls to support the joists for the second floor.

Meanwhile many of the ladies headed out to the surrounding neighborhood to spread the Gospel and invite the kids to an afternoon mini-VBS. There were several professions of faith, and the ladies were invited to a women's Bible study in the morning. Our ladies are still working this evening on their VBS songs accompanied by sign language, which the kids all just love to perform.

What a wonderful opportunity and privilege this is to participate in our Lord's work!  Please pray for us for continued health and safety, and strength and wisdom to clearly see what He is doing here and to do our best for Him.
