It’s another week here at the Children’s Malnutrition
Center, and God has brought us an excellent team once again. This week’s team
includes people from North Carolina, Louisiana, West Virginia, and several
parts of Florida. The Florida Hospital team members had a little bit of trouble
after being delayed for a night in Miami, but they joined the rest of the team
last night for orientation, dinner, and worship.

When we arrived, Cynthia told us we would take a “brief”
tour of the facility, even telling us that we must move faster than a stroll.
But that didn't work out so well! When we arrived, the kids were ready and waiting for us, and that "brief"
tour turned into a few several-minute stops as team members began getting
acquainted or reacquainted with some of the children.
We found out that several of the children had been moved to new rooms. Yeimi (below) and Franco were moved up into the Bunnies! Jamilet moved up to the Chicks, and Manuel and Dairin moved up to the Ducks and Squirrels! They're all growing so big!

The children are already making a huge impression on the
team members. One team member was warmed with Eswin’s incredible laugh and said
that Domingo’s dimples are amazing and remind her of her son Cody.

As always, there was a lot of activity with the Ducks and the Squirrels this morning. While the others were doing puzzles, William and Santos broke away, and team members Nick and Janice had to corrallthem in the hallway to play soccer with the big green bouncy ball.
We have a good group of men on this team, which is great! There is a lot of work to be done around the Center! Already today the maintenance team has mowed and trimmed the grass, and hung curtain rods and curtains.
At one
point, some of the Ducks snuck away from the group and ended up in the supply
room where the maintenance crew was attempting to get the mowers working. I
guess they just wanted to help!
There are also plans this week to get quite a bit of painting done around the Center and even in the daycare downstairs.
Lunchtime was a hit, although a few of the kiddos ended up
falling asleep at the table. I guess they were just totally worn out from
playing outside on the slides.
Of the three kids who fell asleep, probably the
one who got the most laughs was German. German loves chicken, so much so that
he fell asleep with the chicken bone in his mouth!
We really need to work on getting lunch out earlier!
Luis is making such progress. What a miracle he is!
Elise was so happy to see Domingo again!

Nurse Victoria loves Carmen!
It didn't take long for Martha and Andres to make friends!
Hola, Billy!
We hope to have word by tomorrow on our kids in the hospital...Keici, Maria Fernanda, Melany and Andy. Please keep them in your prayers!
Thank you so much for the update on the children and the center. We always are eager to catch up on the news there. God Bless your time there with those precious children.
