Hump
Day
Wednesday is always an interesting day. Bodies start to be accustomed to the work. The work starts to look like it can actually be accomplished. And we always manage to find time for something special. Today, some of the team went around and cleaned the rebar out of the window openings.
While others helped the wall team fill the cells and extend the rebar upward. Here they are mixing the grout, "Haitian style."
And it started to look like we might actually get to the end of the sand. The ladies came back from ministering to the kids and pitched in to finish the director's house drain field.
And suddenly it was done!
Meanwhile, the wall teams were making great progress.
And the hatch on the septic tank was dry and installed.
And then the Phase 1 drain field started to get everyone's attention.
All of this with a quick visit by half of the team to Pastor Felix's orphanage nearby. We always love to visit these kids!
It actually looks like we might get all this done! God has blessed us in all our efforts, with no injuries or illness, perfect weather, and everything we need to accomplish the work He has set our hands to. But then He always does!
