HAITI - July 17, 2012

Sand, Sand, Sand

We were greeted this morning with....you guessed it, more sand! The team could hardly keep up with the arrival of truckload after truckload of sand for the drain fields. A lot of it we were able to just push off to the side for the Phase 1 drain field.

The rest had to be moved by wheelbarrow around to the back of the Director's house. But steady progress was made.

Meanwhile, the block action shifted over to the side of the Phase 1 building.

And Aden, Matt and Mark used the existing water tower legs and bond beam as a scaffold to extend the legs up 10 more blocks to their full height, ready for the platform and water tanks.

Oh, and did I mention the sand? Aden looks like he's had about enough of it!

Tomorrow we will try and get over to see Pastor Felix and his orphanage. There seems to be no end to needy kids here, but the Lord has blessed us and allowed us to be a blessing to them! We pray He will continue to bless us with good weather and safety as we try to minister to ALL of his children.
