Grout Day!
Another day of wheelbarrows and hoisting buckets, this time up to the wall that
has been blocked in five more levels. Part of the team started off by cutting
the sections of rebar that go into the grouted cells for strength, and the rest
concentrated on supplying the grout to the pourers.
Meanwhile, the block layers continued with another section of the wall.
And the water tower team began the reinforced block columns.
And grouted them too.
All done up to 11 blocks high. Tomorrow we will wire up and form the bond beam,
and hopefully get it poured as well.
Grout day is tough.
But the Lord is sustaining us and continuing to bless us with health, safety
and beautiful weather. Tomorrow is our last day, and we are looking forward to
getting over to visit the children one more time before we leave. The ladies
and Bill have been over there every day working with the children, and our EMS
guy John has been treating them for various ailments. Wilson's leg is looking
better every day, and John has trained several people how to treat and bandage
it after we leave.
