Haiti, May 28, 2012

 Monday, May 28

Another beautiful day, and back to the wall of the Phase One building.
We have to go up 14 feet on the front wall to catch the almost constant breeze from the East, so 10 more layers of block above the bond beam on that side, sloping down to 7 blocks at the back. Bill Jones took the "lead" on the "leads." with Andy and Stephen up on the scaffolds with him.

Scaffolding was a problem, so some of the others made 4 new, wider ones to make things go faster.

That's better! Now things are going faster.

And with the leads done, the wall is getting filled in fast. Almost ready for some grout.

We decided that having the storeroom completed in the Pastor House as soon as possible would be a very big blessing, so part of the team spent the afternoon finishing up the framing for it, and since we will have a cement mixer tomorrow, we can pour it. We also cut and wired up the rebar for the water tank footer, so we can pour that too. Things are running along nicely, and everyone is looking forward to the traditional Tuesday afternoon visit with the children. Praise the Lord for keeping us safe and well, and for His guidance in all we are doing.
