Third Team's a Charm!

The third team this month has arrived, this one from Kentucky. We started off the week as usual with church at Pastor Edmond's and his spirit-filled congreation. Most of the children were there as usual, and they greeted the new team like long lost friends.

After church the team got right to work, with the first order of business the wall of the Phase One building. The block layers got busy up on scaffolds.

While part of the team supplied them with mortar and blocks.

Lots of blocks were delivered on Saturday, and they had to be moved inside the building for easier access. Who said ladies can't work hard on these trips!?!

Another team worked to clear out accumulated rubble from the back corner of the bathroom where the water tower will be.

And then the footer for the tower was dug, ready for rebar and concrete tomorrow.

A lot of progress made on the first half-day of work. The Lord has continued to bless us with good weather, and the right mix of skills for the work this week. Please pray for us as we try to complete as much as possible during this last week, as there are no more teams scheduled until July. And please pray the Lord will supply the workers we need to get the children into safe quarters as hurricane season approches.
