Arrived safe and sound after an early start (4am trip to the airport). We have four churches represented this week...FBC Columbus, GA, Cornerstone Baptist Church, FBC Llano, Texas, and FBC Mount Dora. Tomorrow we will begin our week at the center with the children. We are super excited to start loving on them. Thank you Lord for safe travel and a nice comfortable bed! Check back tomorrow for news on our first day!
Greetings from Guatemala! We have arrived in Antigua with smooth travels! We spent the evening getting to know the rest of our mission team who are from Florida and Georgia. We have all just met, but our day has been full of such great fellowship and laughter and neat stories about each other's lives...you'd think we have known each other for years. The food, the architecture, and the grounds here at Hotel Soliel are gorgeous (including a fireplace in every room)! There are three volcanoes around us, but we had only a hint of the views through the clouds today. The weather was a bit cool (60 degrees), but is expected to be in the mid-70's through the rest of our stay. Today has been great, but tomorrow the real fun begins as we head out to Maluntrition Center to spend the day with the kids! Blessings to all of you and tell our kids we love them! Shawn Messer
