Day three at the center and construction of the home
As I type this entry I am sitting in my zebra snuggie trying my best not to fall asleep! It has been a long day for everyone and as the week goes on we are becoming drained faster. It was a great day today with the children- we personally had a lot of happy & playful babies in the Chicks & Bunnies room. Our construction team had a tough but productive day- they built the walls and roof but didn't get a chance to complete the community bathroom...we will have 4 guys return tomorrow to finish it. They also dedicated the home today to a mother & her children which brought this strong independent women to tears- it was amazing. None of us are truly prepared for our last day at the center tomorrow no matter how hard we try....I know it will be the hardest to hold our emotions back as we walk away from those precious children but it is comforting knowing another missionary group will be there Monday picking up where we left of. God is providing in so many areas at the center and it has been wonderful to do our part but giving our time and supplies. I have loved everything about Antigua and the people we've come in contact with- Ron has been doing an incredible job taking care of our every need and much more. Speaking of Ron, him and his wife celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary! Ron received 31 pink roses, tres leche cake, a blown up picture from their wedding day, & a sweet love note from his beautiful wife! I wonder what he did for her? All I know is everyone is going to have a great nights sleep tonight! Please continue to keep our teams in your prayers as we finish out our week here! Thank you.
