Poem from a servant this week in Guatemala

Love from the First Baptist Church at the Mall
Just doesn’t stay within its roof or its wall.
Each of us has been given so very much
Daily we surely feel the Lord’s touch.
We praise Jesus. We love. We really, really do,
But we need to do more, to follow Him, too.
No matter our talents, our sins, our heart,
Tomorrow’s too late, today we must start.
He never asked for only our praise.
He said, “Follow me” to serve Him all of our days.
What He tells our hearts to do, we can’t answer “Sure, someday.”
We must do it now, in His time, in His way.
“Are you a Christian?” should not need to be asked
When we follow our Lord and do His commands and His tasks.
The families’ love doesn’t feed their children
But we can do that.  The Lord gave us each time.
We can sing, change diapers, tell stories, feed children, write rhyme.
Here each and every day is different.
Here each and every day is good.
Each and every child who is hungry
Receives God’s love and lots of food.
There will always be someone who has more.
There will always be someone who has less.
It doesn't matter, God gives us all we need
To give all we can, to do our very best.
Tell me please, what is important to you?
More stuff? More money? More, just more?
Following Jesus is what you should do.
Listen to His word and hear a lion roar!
Can you give a smile, a prayer, a dollar, a week?

It’s not about what you give.  It is only what you keep.
