LATVIA SUMMER CAMP Aug.16-21, 2014

Our eager team of four left last week to conduct our first ever camp for children in the country of Latvia -- not really knowing what to expect, but prepared for whatever God had in store for us. We didn't know with whom we would be working, the children who would attend the camp, what the facilities would be like, where we would stay, what transportation we would have, or what we would be doing. (Sounds like a real mission trip ... walking by faith !)

What we did know, however, was that God had planted His vision of reaching Latvian children in need with the love of Christ in the mind and heart of a girl who had grown up in Latvia, had lived in foster homes and an orphanage in Latvia , and had been adopted by a loving family in the United States some years ago. Orphan's Heart was willing to step out and help in the realization of that vision and be the hands and feet of Christ wherever He might lead us!

He has blessed us beyond what we could have ever asked or thought, and He has opened doors to sharing God's love not only with 20 precious Latvian children, but also with so many people along the way in our travels and our journey of faith!  Many seeds have been planted in hearts who have never heard of the love of Christ, and we are excited about the future and what God is going to accomplish in this country through the obedience of just one servant fully committed to following Him!
