Guatemala

As we sit down with teams for orientation here in Guatemala and begin to go over the Malnutrition Center Guidelines, there is one point that outweighs all others . . . please pray over each child.
We have had an eventful first day at the Center as we got settled into our routines, met knew children, reconnected with children we met last year or the year before and, of course, changed some dirty diapers!  As the day progressed the Lord emphasized again just how important it is for us to pray for each child.  We had several children go home (Vilma, Glendy, Carmen, Telma, Erwin, Marta and Sucena and Billy) who will need our prayers as they transition back to being with their families.  And we have two children that aren’t feeling well and need our prayers for healing and comfort (Socelyn (Chicks) and Mario (Dolphins)).  Socelyn is in the hospital right now and if Mario does not improve within the next couple days he too may need to go to the hospital.
We have the awesome privilege of coming before the Lord on behalf of these amazing children and asking that the Lord protect them, provide for them and their families, heal them, guide them throughout life and most importantly that they would one day have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  As you scroll through these pictures, please take the time to pray for each child.  We may never know this side of Heaven how our prayers will impact the lives of these precious children.
