Awesome! That's the only way to describe how these guys work. Ron told me that Blackie wanted the team to be worked like "rented mules," but they need no urging. While Blackie, Griff and Dee finished up the trusses downstairs in the Director's House, Bob and the rest of us were upstsirs finishing the forms for the bond beams.
After lunch we all pitched in and installed the rebar, then we were ready to pour. Marc and David fed the mixer as usual (which by the way makes great concrete), while the team wheelbarrowed, shoveled, bucketed, hauled and hoisted the concrete up to Lou and Wowo on the wall.
We had the beam half poured by quitting time,
and should be able to finish it easily in the morning before the ladies come at 9 for their Bible study.
Then we will work on the interior wall framing upstairs, and the team will get to have a visit with the kids in the afternoon with a lot of great gifts for them.
Not bad for a bunch of "rented mules!!!"
The Lord continues to protect and provide, and tomorrow we will be privileged to host the ladies again. We ask for your prayers for this wonderful ministry, their community across the road and for the children of two orphanages that are so precious to us all.
