Today we hit full stride on our first
full day, with two teams of ladies doing VBS, several evangelism walks,
construction and a trip to visit the amazing Diddi. We started off by attending
the opening of the new school term at Pastor Edmond's church.
Then the construction teams got going, with the two Johns and Happy
preparing the foundation for the storeroom landing.
And the "G" team, made up of mostly
Gifford's and Goodrum's, with the able assistance of "I don't know how to do
anything," Rick and our younger team members, continued with the joist work for
the second floor.
Meanwhile Brad made a detailed diagram of
where the interior walls will go in Phase 1. If we can just get the right blocks from
Prefab, we might just get some of them up this week!
The ladies had another successful day,
and tomorrow we will try to enlist the Pastor of a new church next door to us in
following up on their work with discipleship and church membership.
God has great plans for this area, and we are starting to see some of it come to pass, and feel so privileged that He has allowed us to be a part if it!
Please continue to pray for us; there were a couple of minor scrapes today (these ladies DO go overboard sometimes playing with the kids), but our health remains good, the weather is perfect, and everyone is happily exhausted after the full day of work.
