First Baptist Church Eustis - Guatemala Trip January 12-18, 2013

I am so happy and thankful to be on mission to Guatemala again. It’s hard to believe how fast time has flown by since July 2011. God moved in amazing ways on that trip. The children touched our lives and changed us, forever. I can’t wait to hug all those precious children again.

This week Gloria Blackman and I will be sharing our team’s experiences.   We are thrilled and grateful to be on this mission together.  Our Eustis, FL mission group is called the Go Team.  Our Lord has answered our prayers to form a team to go into the world as His hands and feet.

Our first sights and sounds included the majestic mountains, modern buildings, busy traffic, smells of diesel in Guatemala City.  We had our first meal at a typical fast food restaurant, Pollo Campero.  We drove west and the cooler air coming through the bus windows as we climbed away from the city was exciting and welcome.  Antigua’s cobblestone roads, fresher air, and the majestic Agua volcano welcomed us.

After we settled in at the hotel, our team planned our adventures for Sunday.  We are looking forward to all that tomorrow holds.  Once back in our rooms we listened to the sounds of the city…fireworks and lots of music.  We can hardly wait… This will be an amazing week.
