HAITI - Thursday 10/18/12

We took up where we left off yesterday, removed the forms on the Director's house bond beam, and finished laying the two blocks all around to complete the first floor, then filled alternate cells and extended the rebar up for the next courses.

Meanwhile some of us cleared away all the blocks in Phase One and swept the floor. Alice is a great sweeper!

After lunch, everyone went over and joined the ladies doing VBS, and we had a wonderful visit with the children. These are Lou's two "daughters," Menise and Brinnia.

 

 

Now we are packing and desperately looking for passports, and very sad to be leaving "our" kids behind. We are all praying the Lord will provide a way for us to come back soon. Please pray for our safe return and for the continued health and safety of the children. And plan to come join us in this important work for the glory of our Lord!
