Dominican Republic Oct 22-29, 2011

Tuesday/Wednesday

Only one more day of ministry! We can't believe how fast the week has gone by. Tomorrow will be our last day with the children and we're not wanting to leave yet! God is so good! He has allowed us to touch these children and help, in our own little way, be part of their "Hope." Children with a Hope is doing a great work in the DR. Many lives are being changed because of the love and nurture and CHANCE this ministry is giving. 319 children are being loved on by a group of "Americanos" and WE will be forever changed. We are humbled by the opportunity to help out this week and are so very thankful for all of your prayers.

The last two days have been full of teaching, playing, serving, building, repairing, and giving. We are the ones who have received the blessing. We came to give (and we did) but we have been blessed much more than we ever imagined.

The ladies are teaching crafts, bible, and English. The children are very receptive and we are very impressed by their Bible knowledge. They are truly being taught God's word and we can see and feel His spirit in this compound in the DR. The ladies have enjoyed being able to daily in the kitchen. We all have enjoyed delicious Dominican cooking each day for lunch. The men have been busy constructing a small shelter (tin roof extension) that will be used by the children for reading and meditating on God's word.

Please continue to pray as we will be traveling back to the states on Saturday. Muchas gracias and Dios les bendiga!
