GUATEMALA Aug. 13-19

Day 4 / Guatemala

One of our men was not feeling very well this morning, so the construction crew had to head out without him. The rest of us headed out for our third day at the Malnutrition Center, but we had to turn around and head back to the hotel because one of our youth was not feeling well, so we stopped the bus in the middle of town to wait for the van to come pick them up. While we were waiting we decided the best thing for them was our prayers. So while we were waiting in the middle of town we stopped and prayed for those of our team who were ill.

It was a very exciting day; the kids were up and going strong when we arrived and we were raring to go! Boy those little kiddos have a lot of energy. They were very happy to see us again, and we were just as happy to see them. We introduced them to tootsie rolls today, and they loved them. We are sorry center workers but we fed them sugar and left for the day.

The construction workers worked really hard today and had exciting news when they arrived back at the hotel, they had completed all three homes they wanted to build and dedicated them to the Lord. The families were so thankful and happy for their new homes. What a very emotional and exciting time! Thank you God for what you have done!
