Day 3 / Guatemala
Well it was our second day at the Center and on the job site. We were all so excited to get back and help out with those cute little darlings that we fell in love with yesterday. The children were bathed, and we dressed them. It was just like an assembly line. Then we headed them down the hall to their play rooms.
We were brave enough today to break out the magic markers--washable ones mind you! The children had a blast. Before long it was snack time and the children had good ol' sticky granola bars. Yum, yum. But goodness, they stuck all over those adorable little faces. Then more play time and then they ate again. These little cuties sure do eat a lot, but that’s what they're here for. Then we had to say goodbye for a second time. Wow, what a great day!
All of the men went to the job site, except for Ron, he went to the Center to help us. Thanks, Ron. They finished one house that has a wood burning stove with a chimney piped out side. This stove that is installed in the new home uses 85% less wood than the family used to use. One of the problems these families had was that they cooked over an open flame "You should have seen the joy and happiness on these families' faces. They were also handing out peanut butter crackers and candy to the area children and families. You should have seen the faces on the children who received these treats, what a blessing.
WOW!
