After months of anticipation and preparation, we finally arrived in Guatemala! 39 of us in all... Thankfully, not a bag was inspected by customs and we made it safely to our hotel. God is so good! Those who arrived late Sunday night, were up early and ready to head out to the Malnutrition Center bright and early this morning... what a day we had... holding, feeding, bathing babies and sharing Bible stories and playing with the children... The smiles on their faces made our trip so worthwhile! It's absolutely incredible what a difference, one person, on one team, can make here.
Tomorrow some will head out to build a home for a needy family (a single mom with four kids whose husband was murder in Honduras not long ago)... others will go to the Center to love on those sweet babies and children once again... what a privilege... there's no way to explain what it feels like to be here... finally...
Working with these precious children... is such a gift! Especially at this special time of the year... as we remember the incredible gift that God sent to the world in the form of a baby... we are truly humbled to be His hands and feet to some of the babies here in Guatemala.
