Yes, the airport in Guatemala is going to open Monday, so our next team will be able to go and work at the Malnutrition Center! That's great news! But that’s not the exciting news we have to share. The news is… we have a new partner joining us in the International work! We are so happy to welcome Howard “Howie” Hooper and his wife Marvina to our team in Miami! Howie will be the new Director of International Childcare. He is going to provide much needed assistance and direction in all areas of our work and in the many countries where we are working. The Hooper’s have been serving at First Baptist, Mt. Dora, Florida, for the last eleven years. Howie has also been working in Partnership Missions for the State of Florida leading mission trips to Cuba. Prior to serving in Mt. Dora, they served with the International Mission Board in Honduras and Panama. The Hooper’s have two sons.
Be in prayer for Howie and Marvina as they begin this new chapter of their ministry and as they make the transition to Miami. We are so grateful that God has brought them to us, and we look forward to many days of fruitful work together!
