Wow, what a great day! A little 5 month old boy named Fernando went home today to live with his parents. We celebrate this event because Fernando came to the malnutrition center at 18 days old and after 5 months, he is healthy enough to return to his family. What a miracle!
Next week, we are expecting 18 new children at the center! Although we are happy to be able to care for this many children, we continue to ask for your prayers as we expand. Another praise is that today Ron and Jerry hired 2 nurses to come work at the center….they start tomorrow! This will enable us to provide better medical care for these precious children by using IV’s and feeding tubes.
Today was a day of much joy for our building team as they completed the construction of the house for the grandmother raising 4 grandchildren. As the team prayed over the house with the grandmother, she wept tears of joy! She kept asking why they would come and do this for her. Monty, the team leader, told her it was because the love of Jesus made them sisters and brothers in Christ. She had shared with them that she was a believer earlier.
As you can see, God continues to bless this ministry and we are so thankful to be a part of it!
