Guatemala March 30, 2010

Today was a great day for the two teams that went out in Guatemala. The construction team laid the foundation for a home for a single grandmother who is raising four of her grandchildren. They not only worked construction, but also played with the local children. They will complete the house tomorrow when they put up the walls and roof. Even though this house will have no electricity or water, the woman is so thankful that she now has a home.
The team that went to the malnutrition center was blessed to be able to work with the toddlers and babies. We were all amazed when we were introduced to a six month old baby girl, named Addie, that weighs three pounds. It was frightening to see a child that small, but rewarding to know that she is now getting the best care possible. Please pray for Addie to gain weight and thrive. We brought 12 suitcases of much needed supplies for the children. We were able to work with 36 babies and toddlers and it is rewarding to know they all have a chance thanks to the work being done here. God is good!
