Saturday –We spent the day traveling so we were all up early but we were blessed with a GREAT trip. We arrived at our hotel around 7:30 pm, had dinner and spent some time getting to know each other.
Sunday—We started the day with our devotion and a great American breakfast. After breakfast we spent a little time site seeing and then headed to church. The church service was in English and Spanish and we all really enjoyed worship. After church we had lunch and then headed to a coffee plantation to go zip lining. 19 out of 21 of us were brave enough to ride the zip line and almost everyone LOVED it. We finished our day with a little shopping, dinner, planning for Monday and LOTS of supply and clothes sorting and inventory.
Monday—Today was our first day at the center and it was AWESOME. None of the stories we had heard or pictures we had seen could describe what it is like to be at the center. Some team members did painting, others worked with the babies, and still others spent time with the older children and unpacking and putting away supplies. Mostly we spent the day getting to know the workers and played and loved on the children.
