Today is our fourth day here, and let me tell you, it was one of the best days this week so far. Yesterday we got all of the cribs in place along with all of the necessities for the babies. Today we finished up painting and cleaning and you could tell there was a positive impact from the expressions on the ladies faces. Even though we don’t speak the same language, it’s like the people understand what we’re trying to say. At first, the work seemed like it was never going to end until we saw the results of what we’ve done. But anyways, now that the babies are in the rooms things seem to be more relaxing and not so stressful. We went to a restaurant called the Monoloco and had huge plates of nachos that were delicious! What I think that is so cool is that we could walk everywhere we go. It isn’t like the hot Florida weather where you step outside and you immediately want to go back inside. Here, you have beautiful cobblestone roads, nice chilly weather, and beautiful mountains surrounding the town. Prayers from home and Guatemala are really truly helping, and all of us are starting to see God working through us with the little things we do and don’t even realize it.
Thanks! =]
