Orphan's Heart Ballet
Recently we had a very special ballet performance in the Ducks and Squirrels group.
One of the teens, Madison, is a ballerina. She brought with
her several leotards and shoes. She took all the girls in the Squirrel
group and taught them a few ballet positions and steps. There is a stage
in the Comedor and we lined chairs up in front of the stage and the boys all
sat to watch the show. When the music began the girls began to dance,
following Madison's lead. The girls were nervous but were so excited
about their ballet clothes. The boys were mesmerized and sat watching,
speechless. For something to keep the boys still, you know it was
something special. I don't think anyone going to see the Nutcracker this
year will enjoy themselves as much as these boys did. For many of these
children this will be the only ballet they will see in their lifetime.
Thank you Madison for using the experience and talent God gave you to
bless these children.
