God is good...all the time!
Women the world over enjoy being celebrated, and they love receiving
gifts! The women of Kamonkoli, Africa are no
different! The team had the privilege of
leading the women of Kamonkoli in a retreat that began today and will continue
through tomorrow.
The morning began with
praise and worship. What that means in
Kamonkoli is singing, dancing, and more dancing! David danced before the Lord, and so did
we! Another beautiful aspect of their
worship is the body of believers greeting and fellowshipping with one another.
The women laugh, hug, smile and curtsy to one another. The warmth and joy with which they regard each
other is a sweet blessing and a habit we have all quickly picked up!
During our small group time the women shared
many of the unimaginable circumstances they have endured. Time and time again, though, as they were
sharing their lives, they were also voicing, “God is good...all the time!” So many
of the women have every reason to be crushed by the loss in their lives, yet
they choose to rely on our Heavenly Father, and the joy in which they continue
to praise God is truly inspiring.
Please pray for the second day of the conference and for
many more to surrender their lives to Christ if they do not know Jesus. Two precious women did today! The angels are rejoicing!
