GUATEMALA August 7, 2013

Today is our third day at the Center, and it’s sad to think that our week here is almost over! There is so much to do and so little time The team is now working in a nice rhythm.  The first day we were all newbies, but by the second day at the Center, we are pros!

Each day starts with a brave group of team members led by Dr. Dulce who meet in the lobby of the hotel at 5:30 am and go for a fast walk around town.  It is awesome to watch the city wake up and enjoy the sunrise, the views of the volcanos and the beautiful architecture!

Then it’s off to breakfast, followed by devotions. We have had awesome devotions every day!  Preston shared on day one, Theresa on day two and Scott today.  All of them have been convicting and exactly what we needed to start our days.

We then get on the bus for the hour-long ride to the Center.  Once we arrive, we all go to our respective jobs.  There is never a dull moment no matter where you work!  Since the team is pretty large, we have two shifts for lunch and have enjoyed Art’s lunch menu immensely.  We are blessed that he is serving at the Center at this time.  After lunch, we go back to our stations and work until it is time to get ready to leave for the day at 4:15pm.

Tonight, we are going to dinner to La Pena de Sol, a restaurant in Antigua.  We always have a great time when we dine there, so we are all looking forward to that!  If we are good, maybe we'll get McFlurrys after dinner!!
