Haiti - A Day of Wonders

The whole team was exited this morning as we set up for work and for the Haitian ladies' Bible study. At 9:00 no one was there. At 9:15 still no one. Same at 9:30, and we began to worry. Then at 9:40 we had our first Haitian lady, then a trickle and then a flood. By 10:15 there were over 80, and still they were straggling in. We had over 90 at the end! Charles led the singing and translated, and our ladies gave messages and handed out 60 Bibles. And the singing...it was so beautiful the guys had to turn off the generator and just listen!

What a wonderful time! We were sad to see them go, but our ladies had VBS to do, and the guys needed to get back to work. Tomorrow they will come again, and we will have a wonderful surprise for them. We told them we would not be handing out food this time, but we got a gift yesterday of many cases of a rice, soy and veggie meal pack that feeds a family, so we will give them 2 as they leave tomorrow. God has shown his wondrous love in so many ways!

After the ladies left we got back to work. The forms were stripped off the well base and Pastor Mike blocked it up.

Meanwhile the guys worked on the walls, and by the end of the day they could see that we will indeed be able to finish tomorrow, Lord willing! What a team! And not a professional block-layer among them (just don't look too close!)!

Another wonder: we had a visit from a young lady who would make a fabulous director for the orphanage. The Lord is truly providing all we need for all His work here, inside and outside of the orphanage, and no matter what our expectations, He ALWAYS exceeds them! All praise and glory to His precious name!

Come join us and see for yourself what wonders He will do through you!
