We spent the day today buying materials
and moving our tools back out of storage to get ready for the Jerry Gifford
Kentucky team coming in tomorrow. The weather is great, on the cool side (for
Haiti!), with a good breeze. First we got picked up by a good-sized truck
arranged for us by Vidal from his Pastor friend, Marcel. We went directly to
MSC+ and bought all the wood we needed plus some other odds and ends and took
them over to the site. The wood was so heavy (pressure treated) it took two
trips.
Then we took the truck and went over to
visit Pastor Felix and get our tools out of storage and took them back to the
storeroom at the site. While we were doing all this, the last load of this batch
of fill was delivered by, as usual, a broken-down truck!
While we were away, the front wall was
plastered. Any artists around that would like to paint us a couple of
signs?
Please pray for safe travel for the team
tomorrow and a very safe, productive week. We have 18 ladies in this group who
will be putting on some serious VBS for our kids, Pastor Felix's and the
neighborhood too. We will be working on both the Director's House and Phase One.
May the Lord bless all our efforts to serve Him here, and to Him be the
glory!
