Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound!

Our last day was one of tearful celebration and tearful farewells. It started with the Haitian ladies arriving for their Bible study -

There were many repeats from yesterday, but there were also many more - almost a hundred today! It was hard to fit them all in.

Child care provided!

The ladies started off with beautiful singing that lifted our hearts and spirits and brought us to tears. It was so beautiful that the men working next door simply had to drop their tools and come over to listen. The ladies saw us and insisted that we sing too, so the men filed in and sang "Amazing Grace" for them. It has never been sung sweeter this side of Heaven! The men were in tears as they filed out, and the rest of the day was mostly spent visiting the last VBS day at the two orphanages, and saying our tearful goodbyes.

One last group picture, of course on the new second floor porch of the Director's house.

We are getting closer to having the children move over into their new home. Rainy season will be here soon. We desperately need more workers to come and finish the work by March. God has opened up a glorious ministry of Light for the people living all around the orphanage, and we need to continue it and expand it, too. Please pray for workers for this amazing harvest field that is so ready for harvest, and consider coming yourself for...

the experience of a lifetime!
