REFLECTIONS ON UGANDA (2)

Day by day on this trip, I experienced so much love and compassion.  The people of this community are not focused on worldly things, but focused on family and God.  I cherish every relationship I made and every memory I had with these people.  The minute we got off the bus they welcomed us as part of their family.  Every night we went into various families' homes from the church.  They provided an amazing Ugandan meal for our team.  These families do not need the things of the world to entertain or to be entertained.  We would sing praises to God, have a devotion, pray, eat, and fellowship every night with a different family.  The whole night was such a breath of fresh air. The people of this community share God with each other, and it shows through the love they share, their smiles and laughter, their daily routines, their hospitality and compassion.
