Sylvia’s devotion today included a "survival kit" for nurses, which highlighted several Bible verses that are helpful in the stressful job of nursing.

The two new girls, ROSARIO and CECILIA, are adjusting well to their new surroundings. Cecilia is having fun at school, and Rosario is not crying all the time, and finally allowed someone to touch her.  Continue to pray for them.
CECILIA and ROSARIO

We are still awaiting an update from the hospital about MARIA FERNANDA.

Dulce spoke with the KEICY’s doctor, who explained about the tests that were performed. A liver biopsy on some nodules were suggestive of biliary tuberculosis with portal hypertension. The doctor will be sending Dulce a full report within the next couple of days. Please PRAY FOR KEICY!

A couple of kids, ROSA and JOSELIN have active cases of chickenpox, and it is expected that other children will develop chickenpox within the next few days.

The staff continues to enjoy massages from Jeffrey and are so relaxed they to fall asleep. He plans to give shoulder massages to team members on Thursday.
EVEN DON GONZALO, OUR WONDERFUL LAUNDRY MAN, GOT HIS MASSAGE!

Yesterday and today children from the onsite daycare which cares for children from the surrounding community received puzzles, books, paper products, games, toys and clothes from Orphan’s Heart. They were thrilled!  We look forward to reaching out and making a difference there in the days ahead.

The Chicks played in water today. The Ducks and Squirrels were treated to a wooden train ride through the Center.
WATER PLAY WITH THE CHICKS

This week Wanda has replaced and put up new curtains that were sewn and donated by a former team member in the Canaries' room, the Ducks' room, the fellowship hall, the bathroom and in the dorms. They add such a happy touch!

Several group members had an adventure after lunch today and rode a "tuk-tuk" into town to purchase supplies to finish filling gift bags for the staff and were also able to see the colorful town of San Juan.
GETTING THE GIFT BAGS READY

Team members have been so grateful for the opportunity of staying in the on-site dorms, since it provides us extra time to spend with the children and staff.

MELBA STAYS WITH HER CANARIES

At bedtime handmade teddy bears were given out to all the children in the Center. Sylvia is a part of Angel Missions Ministries at City Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama, and was gracious enough to make and donate them to the Center. They used donated fabric and sewed all the bears together.  What a wonderful way to end the day!
