LEESBURG AND MARYLAND SAY FAREWELL!

We’ve made it to the NEW COMEDOR! Without a hitch we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the new Comedor that is across the hall from the school room.

GLADYS wasn’t so sure about the change at first, but by lunch everyone knew where to go! It’s closer to the supply room, so we could easily run in to get giant puzzles of Noah’s Ark and the Garden of Eden. DOMINGO especially loved putting the puzzles together. Some of the boys from Leesburg helped the Ducks build a Lego tower all the way to the ceiling.
To spice up our worship we grabbed the ribbon bracelets and kazoos and sang "Mi Cuerpo" throughout the halls while whipping the ribbons around.

In the Canary room a few kiddos made memorable achievements today! JOSUE and EDWIN can both sit up now. We are so excited that they are growing and becoming healthy. We know that one day they will be able to return home, but until then we are happy to enjoy all the big steps they are making here.

After watching so many visitors come in and take care of the babies at the Center, ROSA has taken it upon herself to take care of her baby doll and the little babies. She rocks them and makes sure they are playing well with others. She also cleans up after them! Today she collected all the bottles and placed them atop the gate for the nannies to clean up! What a little helper!

Congrats to the Leesburg and Maryland team for helping the Chicks to finish bath time in record time! It’s the small things like getting kids to bed a few minutes early that help you to feel like you have helped to accomplish something amazing! Also in record time, VILMA finished lunch before all the others, thanks to John who got in a rhythm, and by day four is a professional at feeding toddlers.

We celebrated another birthday today…Scott!  Feliz Cumpleanos, Scott, and thank you for spending your birthday serving Jesus in Guatemala.

What an amazing week! We serve a mighty God. We are thankful for the opportunity to be here at the Malnutrition Center and look forward to what God will do in the lives of the precious children who live here.
