On Tuesday afternoon the nannies and workers were treated to a relaxing manicure during their lunch time. Kristin also shared the devotion that she shared with us earlier in the morning about having a close personal relationship with Christ.
At 3pm we dedicated the new playground that was
donated by First Baptist Naples and Palmetto First Baptist. We pray that for many years to come many children will not only play in this courtyard, but also be shown the love of Christ.
Tuesday night's WOW! time message led by Ron was about us
learning from the children and not the other way around. As we sat around our circle we shared those
amazing moments we had with a child during the day and how it touched our
hearts.
Billy escaped again from the Ducks room and was found
in the Canary room entertaining himself with a mirror.
Today’s visit to the Pila was a successful one with at
least 64 kids present along with their mothers or family members. Some of the
kids from yesterday showed up smiling again and we noticed they had the same
dirty clothes on which really touched our hearts. We told the story of Jesus’ life and made
salvation bracelets. We ended the session with a challenging game of “Simon
Says.” By the way, Heidi made it up the hill but Melissa won the race because
she walked and RAN the hill twice!
It is so exciting to see the younger children in the windows
watching their older siblings on the new playground. They wave and smile as wide as their tiny
mouths can stretch.
The coaster ride was an exciting one this morning as the Braden
River team members made a new song for our journey to the Center.
Over the freeway
and through the woods
to be with the kids we go.
Samuel drives the bus
through farm land with us
and furniture stores glorious.
Next there are flowers
and la pila
and one steep hill to climb.
The feeling is fine,
the children divine,
the fun we will have this time!
