ORPHAN'S HEART

I'M THELMA, AND I'M A BIG GIRL NOW!

First day for our team to serve at the Child Malnutrition Center, and we have already fallen in love with the children and the workers. The ladies on our team served in each room with the children and also in the kitchen. God blessed us with a beautiful sunshiny day, so we were able to take the toddlers and older children outside for a while. This afternoon we had a special treat - a pinata party!
We are thankful for several answered prayers that happened today. Daniel "Big D" (Canaries) took some steps! Dalila (Bunnies) rolled over and sat up on her own! Luis Fernando (Chicks) stood and took a few steps! Maria Asuncion (Chicks) also stood and took a few steps!  What progress they're making, thanks to lots of time and attention from volunteers!  The team agrees that the greatest things we are thankful for are the smiles on these precious children's faces.
There have been a few changes in children at the Center...Daniel "Little D" (Canaries) moved up and is now a Bunny!  Telma (Bunnies) moved up and is now a Chick.  Alejandro (Chicks) moved up and is now a Duck.
We are thankful to know that people are lifting us up in prayer. Continue to pray for our service this week to bring glory to the Lord. Pray for God's presence to surround the children, the staff, and our team.
