Tuesday Part 2

Today we arrived at the Malnutrition Center ready with helping hands and hearts. We can’t help but think of the workers that do this without help each day, their hard work and dedication amaze us all. Some illness broke out in the Center and several kids have developed scabies. Medicine is on the way and all will be treated. Then there is the normal daily upset stomachs with some of the children that can make your shirts smell a bit different by the end of the day (if you know what I mean).
During WOW time this evening, there was much discussion on how blessed we are in America. This mission has made it more evident, the difference between wants and needs. Not that what we have in America is bad but are we being disciplined with how we live so that we can extend help to others.
Tonight we sang “How great is our God” and the group is seeing the reality of this song as we serve the Guatemalan people. We see the joy and happiness that they have from the simple ways that we are helping them. They are a blessing to us. What a wonderful time we are having serving the Lord in Guatemala.
