Guatemala July 23rd-29th (Wednesday)

Day three and we still had a blast. By then the group of thirty nine strangers who met at the beginning of the week were in fact a family. I was really shocked at how well we all got along. It’s like God just knew that we would all just compliment and encourage each other perfectly….well, of course, He did in fact know that. We realized that as a group in our devotion time when Ms. Ellen pointed out that God has every single day of our lives planned out; He knew that all of us would be together to impact each other’s lives this week. And really, when you stop to think about it, it’s just amazing. We serve a God who is truly omnipotent. In all honesty, I really might miss the awesome friends I met here as much as I do the kids served here. There is something so powerful in a group so large sharing the same passion and goal. We also have five awesome, in-exhaustible interns that have been here for four weeks who have been such a huge blessing to the group and me. They are at the Center and construction site every day and hang out with us at the hotel and around town. They take us shopping and play cards with us, but they also help us to further enjoy and appreciate what we are here to do. I am truly going to miss my family here.
