Guatemala July 23rd-29th (Tuesday)
As the second morning of our trip dawned, the excitement to get back to the center and the kids that stole our heart the day before was contagious. We were already forming relationships with the children and it was becoming apparent that it would be very hard to leave them when the time came. Arriving at the Center, we broke off into our age groups immediately, eager to get to work and spend time with the kids. By now, we were all getting the hang of things and the schedule throughout the day went incredibly well. From baths to teeth brushing to lunch to playing inside to playing outside, our day was filled with lots of moving and entertaining. We were definitely exhausted but really nothing we have ever done was that rewarding. If we could, I’m sure most of us would stay much longer to be with the kids we love so much. God has truly blessed the Center with such strong, dedicated, happy workers that make the working environment so wonderful to be in. Not only will we miss the kids but also the workers and, in general, the people of Guatemala who have stolen our hearts so soon.
