Plant City Day One at the Center

W.O.W.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the same God of Samuel, Gerson, and Maria! I love it! And, He is still in the miracle business. Immediately, I (Melissa) was able to see Maria Asuncion, the little miracle from our last trip, and had my own private WOW moment. To say that some praise to God was happening is an understatement!

After a quick tour, the group got right to work. Brooke Warnock and her team, Lauran, Krista, and Hannah bathed the small babies, the Canaries.
The nurse Olga was in with sweet little Ana, and shared that Ana Rosario had lost 2 more pounds. Ana is 6 months old and today weighed 4lbs. She has a severe cleft palette that has prevented her from closing her mouth and drinking a bottle. She had been fed with a dropper for the past 2 months, in hopes that she would get up to the necessary 10 lbs. in order to have her surgery, but she has still lost weight.
Please pray. She was taken in an ambulance and is currently in ICU in Guatemala City at the same hospital where she had been abandoned as a newborn. God´s hand is on her.

Currie Dickerson, Meghan Hale, David Delgado and I worked with the toddlers. This is especially wonderful for us, as we are able to see how those ´babies´ from last year have grown physically and developmentally! Praise be to God!

Kim and Steve Shouse, along with Beth, Sterling and BreAna Nix, and Tamika Bright were with the older children. They are amazing with the children and God used them in a great way today as Kim shared with them about what it means to be a friend and about our very best friend, Jesus, who never leaves us!

The construction group of Mark Hale, Reuel Elliot, Seth Collier, Simmie McIntosh and Donn Hobbs wasted no time getting to work...buffing floors, mowing the yard, moving commodes, literally...they were so willing to do whatever it takes. They were even able to sneak in some "holdin' time" with the kids in between their duties!

Beth led a great time of devotion with the nannies at the center in the afternoon. God´s Word was taught.

Tomorrow construction begins on the house. Please pray for God´s provision of good weather in order for the concrete foundation to dry.

God is at work here in Guatemala with Orphan´s Heart. We are so grateful to be a part of what He is already doing!

Melissa Hale
