March 22, 2011 Great Day at the Center

Our Tuesday morning began with a devotional from Parker Grigsby followed by a breakfast of fresh fruit and pancakes. It was another wonderful day at the center with the children. Unlike yesterday when most of us were unsure of what we were doing, everyone jumped right in with bathing, clothing and playing! It was a beautiful, sunny day so we took many of the children outside to play on the playground. They sure do love to swing! Cameron sang a few songs for the workers and Nancy shared a devotional with them while Paula Sharp and Rachel Dudas baked some yummy brownies for them to enjoy. The team continues to be amazed that the workers smile every day and have not collapsed from exhaustion even though they work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day. We on the other hand leave the center joyfully exhausted and ready to eat! Tonight, the workers brought many of the kids outside to wave goodbye as we left. Many asked, “Manana?” which means tomorrow. I can’t tell who is more thrilled to see one another! The children’s laughter and smiles continue to warm our hearts. The team is really looking forward to another wonderful dinner and sharing at our WOW time but even more, we are looking forward to having another awesome day with the kids!!! Blessed beyond measure!!!
