A Prayer of Thanks

Dear Lord,
Thank you for the opportunity to minister to children and adults in the beautiful country of Guatemala.
Thank you for leadership like the Haags, the Hoopers and the Gunters who have a heart for children and a passion for sharing the gospel and meeting the needs of disadvantaged people groups around the world.
Thank you for the generous people in our church and in churches across America who give money and other items so readily whenever a need is made known.
Thank you for young people who have a desire to help others less fortunate than themselves and who give up their vacation time to go on short term mission trips. Thank you for their hard work, their cooperative spirit and their love for children.
Thank you for our Guatemalan translators without whom we would not be able to minister as effectively. Thank you for their skills and their patience with us as we turn to them time and time again with language questions.
Thank you for Spanish speaking Americans who are so helpful and necessary on mission trips to Spanish speaking countries.
Thank you for putting your hedge of protection around us as we travel to and from the mission fields of the world.
Thank you for giving us a large and loving family of fellow believers with a shared vision to serve others and spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Thank you for the friendly and welcoming Guatemalan people…may they as a country begin to understand and embrace God’s amazing gift of salvation given through His son Jesus Christ.
My heart overflows with gratitude.
Amen
