Cornerstone Baptist Church November 8, 2010

Day #1- House #1

5 hours and 30 minutes. That's all it took our "experienced" group of house builders to build the first of four houses. Wow! They were awed by the simplicity of the structure and the gratititude of the family. One window and one door, no paint, and no electricity but you would have thought it was a mansion ...and it is for this mother and her two little girls. "A humbling experience" was the description of his day from Caleb, 17 years old, who is here to help build the four houses. The team is excited to see what tomorrow will bring them as they build house #2.

Day #1- Hug #1

10 minutes. That's all it took for the children at the malnutrition center to capture the hearts and love of the team who worked in San Juan today. "It makes me appreciate all that I have" expressed Kurstie who worked with the babies. The team of 9 left the center tired but satisfied with the love that was shared with the 70 children and 12 workers. Of course lots of hugs were given and lots of diapers were changed throughout the day. A good's night rest is upon the team as they anticipate the wonderful experiences what a new day will bring.

"There can be no sharing of what we have without sharing of who we are..." And today, Cornerstone Baptist Church team members became Jesus' hands and feet as they shared who there are...
