Malnutriton Center Update

In the absence of a team from the States, the work at the Center still goes on. Children continue to be admitted. Most recently a set of twins came in at 20 days old; their mother had died in childbirth, and their father had no idea how he was going to care for them. Thank God there was a place that was available where he could find some loving people to care for his precious boys, Henri and Roni. Children who have been nurtured back to health are still being released back to their families. Little Edmer, who has been at the Center for many months and just started walking last month, went home with his dad this weekend. It's sad to see them go, because we'll miss them, but we're so happy that they've made progress and have gotten to the point where they can be cared for by their families.

Our next team has arrived in Guatemala City and has made it through customs without a hitch with all 100 bags! As this blog is being written, they are on their way to the hotel. Tomorrow bright and early we will head to the Center for another busy week of loving kids, building a home, painting rooms, cleaning up rooms, moving shelves, counting medicines, doing inventory of clothes and supplies... the list goes on!

Keep us in your prayers for our safety and our health and that God would accomplish His purposes this week through us.
