It’s hot here! Ok, now that that’s said…
We spent our morning visiting in some of the homes (shelters, lean-to’s) of the kids who attend the afternoon ministry at Bethel Church. We had the opportunity to visit with the family members who were at home. It was a highlight of our trip -- sharing light and love and joy in such desperate places. We'll never forget the families we shared and prayed with!
It was an honor to meet Pastor Pablo Garcia from Bethel Baptist upon our return to the church. He is a leader with a heart for children and for his city! Our afternoon was full again with the sound of singing and laughter, with hugs and smiles, and again the opportunity to share God’s love in the form of physical food as well as spiritual food!
After a brief rest and a much-needed shower (did I mention it’s HOT here?), we were blessed to have dinner with Walt Morgan, the President of the Baptist Seminary of Nicaragua, and his family. Walt is a godly man with a passion for seeing his country turn to Christ. We consider it a privilege for Florida Baptist Children’s Homes to partner with other believers around the world who have the same passion and concern for children!
