To the work!

We're pleased with our accomodations at the Children's Center. It's hot; there are mosquitoes; there's little or no water or electricity; but other than those minor issues, we're comfortable! We've hit the ground running! After a brief orientation and volunteer planning meeting this morning, we divided up the responsibilities and headed in many directions to begin our work for the week. We've divided into morning, afternoon and evening/night shifts. Our responsibilites range from caring for special needs children, sorting supplies and more supplies and more supplies, assembling shelves, sleeping on the floor of the chapel with the earthquake children, cooking, dish washing, maintenance projects, and most important...loving the children! We're blessed and honored to be used of God in such an amazing way! We're seeing first hand what love can do when we allow ourselves to be used as the hands and feet of Christ!
Blessings from day 2 in Ouanaminthe!

  1. Ron,

We're praying for all of you while you are there serving, and for you and Cynthia to have discernment as you come home and process all you experience and plan what our response should be there in Haiti.
