Wonderful First Day in Antigua

It is Sunday night, and we just finished our first day in Antiqua. We woke up this morning to the birds singing and coffee already brewing! The hotel staff cooked a great breakfast which was followed by a short devotion led by Ron Gunter. He spoke about the feeding of the 5,000, and how it would never have been possible without the little boy who was willing to give all he had. We then walked thru the city to visit a Cathedral. On the way we were stopped by many locals who were selling etc..... It was hard to see some of the children as young as they were offering their service for money especially on a Sunday morning. We stopped and took a picture of Daniel and one of the little boys on the street. We then showed him the picture and gave him a coin. He was so happy....just to see his picture! It was humbling for all of us. The Cathedral was a beautiful sight to see. We then walked to the Inglesia Del Camino Church for a bilingual service. This was a very moving experience to hear worship and praise songs being sung in two different languages at the same time. It was just a little glimpse of what we may expect to witness and be a part of when we get to heaven one day. Pastor Mike spoke about how we can prepare ourselves to do God's ministry and that all we really need to do is be willing to listen to what God is already doing around us. Then we must be willing to take action......
Pray for our team this week that we will just be open to whatever God has for us to do here in Guatemala.
