Well, it has been a very eventful first day! We began this exciting day in Miami, FL where we enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by the Florida Baptist Children's Homes' staff. We were also able to meet our dynamic team who gathered together from all over North America!! There are 22 people on our team and there were even more bags!!! (which were very "fun" to load onto several vans, drag through the airport and maneuver through the many Guatemalans who welcomed us!) After our successful flight we all made it through customs without any problems. We were met at the airport by Mike, Steve, and Samuel. The next adventure came as we squeezed into vans and experienced Guatemalan traffic without any speed limits for the first time! The hotel is beautiful and we were treated to a wonderful meal! It has been so fun to get to know our team and we are all excited to see how God will use us and work in us on this trip. ~Cammie
