Lent in Guatemala

Just a quick update before turning in for the night. Our worship experience with Iglesia del Camino was a blessing--praising God and listening to God's Word preached in both languages. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and then took a walking tour of this beautiful city. We left Ron and Don at the church, painting some Sunday School rooms.

As you know, this is the season of Lent, and Guatemala is a predominantly Catholic country. There are visible symbols throughout the city of the observance of Lent. A highlight of their celebration which we were able to witness, is a procession through the streets with floats depicting the passion of the Christ. We have posted a few pictures and a video to give you a taste of what we experienced.

Tomorrow we head for the Malnutrition Center to begin our work with the children and renovating the center. Pray for strength and safety for the team and for all those whose lives will be touched with the love of Jesus.

Walking by faith,
Cynthia (for the Team!)
